THE CURDERBURGER

AND OTHER CULVER’S WORK

Yes, it’s true. A vegan accidentally helped start the Curderburger craze.

One of the final projects I worked on with Hiebing was an April Fool’s Day social post for Culver’s. We knew that announcing a cheesecurd burger would get attention, but we had no idea it would take on a life of its own - culminating in Culver’s making this menu item an annual reality. The first year, lines wrapped around the block as cheese-lovers tried to get their hands on a Curderburger - I even saw some of these Midwestern delicacies being auctioned off on eBay.

My time on Culver’s began with another cheesy assignment: playful social media assets for Curdis, a curd with over 6k Instagram followers. During this time I also created concepts and graphics for web-based games, icons to communicate the brand’s core values, and product specific campaigns that included banner ads, email marketing design, and promotional contests.

A fun challenge: boiling these six somewhat abstract ideas down into simple monoline icons for use on Culver’s website.
